It's been awhile, a very long while. I definitely took that whole 'alone' thing and ran with it. I stopped going out, became entirely unreliable and basically hid from people. It made me realize how much I disliked being around anyone.
Lately that's taken a toll on my emotions and I've noticed how much people actually avoid me now. My fault, I put myself in that situation. But I can't help but be a little bit lonely now.
I've decided 2010 will be a new year. I've downplayed the last two and now I'm simply bored with life. School takes up most of my time and I only get Sundays and Mondays off. Being up at 6 is making it tough to even stay awake past 9 now too. Totally killing my social life..or what's left of it. Only place I can really go to on my nights off is Cinespace and there are SOME people there who I'd rather not see.
Not in that way. I don't hate him, at all, entirely the opposite. I just realized that being strung along for so long won't do anyone any good. With the new year, I'm ready for a change. I know I won't ever be good enough for certain ppl and I'm just sick of being the one who people are ashamed to be seen with. I put him on the most insane pedestal since day 1. It's been probably almost 10 years and it'll only ever be a crush. My little mind just built it up to be something when it absolutely was not. I just needed to slap myself into reality. Stupid stupid stupid.
On a lighter note, tomorrow my love Sarah wants to go to Hotel Cafe to see George Stanford perform so that should be fun. I love that place!

My Children :]
This weekend's been pretty slow. For some reason, I love that. I love staying home and lying in my bed with my pups and I love being able to just jump in the pool. I've been avoiding people for the past few weeks off and on and it's been nice. I think I'd rather stay home and keep to myself right now.
I'm taking the pups to my sister's house today. I wish she had a pool. It's going to be nearly 100 degrees in Corona!! Not only that, it wreaks of cow out there! I'll probably just sit and indulge in some of her tivo'd shows wh
ile the pups play.
This is Princess Dandelion. She's a high-energy stray I found posted up for FREE on Craigslist! I was looking for a puppy a couple years ago when I was feeling a little down and out about myself. She has definitely filled that void. When looking for a dog, always try to find one for free. If you look on Craigslist, you'll find tons of dogs who need homes. A lot of people ask for hundreds or thousands of dollars for their pets trying to get make some money off their unwanted dogs and I feel if these owners are really desperate to find their pets a home, they wouldn't be asking for a penny. You can also go to your local Humane Society. They usually ask for a small donation fee, and that's to cover shots, neutering a
nd microchips.
This is Cheevy. My sister and I kidnapped him from her friend's stepmom who had been neglecting him. He had a little girlfriend who lived with him in the backyard. She was mysteriously eaten by some sort of animal outside. Only to be found a few days later in the bushes. I can't even imagine what Cheevy had to see that night. When we stole him, he was vicious! He nipped at my feet and barked ferociously at us to the point where we were scared to even touch him, let alone take him home. Finally we got him in a crate and he smelled horrible. We put him in the tub as soon as we got home. He was covered with fleas and we washed him about 5 times. He'd calmed down by then a bit. When he got here he'd pee on EVERYTHING. Still does, a little bit but not to the same extent and he wears a diaper inside now. A few weeks after, we noticed he barely had any teeth and the teeth he had were completely rotten. Which made me think, his old family left a bowl of hard food for him outside, he was probably swallowing it whole! Also, that means they barely went to check on him when he was outside besides to fill his food bowl. Everyone was scared to touch him because of his temper but now he's honestly one of the sweetest dogs. He'll still try to bite but its just funny now that we know he has no teeth. Poor guy. He is a major cuddler and has learned how to give sloppy kisses with that giant limp tongue. To imagine this dog not ever getting any hugs and kisses breaks my heart because he is so loveable! So I'm definitely trying to make up for his lost times, and hopefully his gf is looking down and knows that not all humans are so horrible.

Thank you Craigslist.com!

When I'm bored at work, which is quite often, I usually spend my time on Craigslist.com. Lately I've been looking at apartments in Santa Monica, but since my moving date isn't for another month, I've just been browsing for fun. Then I thought about looking for some vintage furniture since I'll definitely be needing some for my future apartment. I've had an idea [decor-wise] of where I want to go with it for awhile and came up on a really amazing couch less than 10 miles away from me! It's at an amazing price and my bff and I are gonna go pick it up tonight! I'm soo incredibly stoked about this couch and can't wait to decorate around it. I just hope my pups don't ruin it! I'm not too worried about that though. I'll post more pictures of it when I get it! Yaayayay!! :D

EBAY & Twitter!!
They're just a bit loose on me and made it a little difficult to walk in, so I decided to put them up for sale here.I've also got the Nine West Gladiator Sandals inspired by Balenciaga. They're exact replicas. I bought them awhile ago and have only worn them once. They were also a bit loose and I really only wear boots when I go out. These were almost $100 when I bought them but I'm selling them for half the price. They look amazing on MK, just not me! So here they are up on ebay.
Also! I wanted to plug my twitter page. I don't update TOO often, just often enough ;] It's at www.twitter.com/xoKatyLove

BOOTS BOOTS BOOTS!
My most recent purchase were a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Biz Buckle Booties. They're amazing!! I don't even have the money for them right now, but thanks to my trusty credit card [that I've yet to pay off] they're sitting on a shelf behind me. I bought them in a size 6.5 and they're a bit tight but that's never put me off. I usually buy shoes in a size 6 because I'm scared they'll look clown-sized on me. I haven't worn them out yet but plan to asap. I found them on revolveclothing.com for the cheapest price and they also offer free shipping and free returns so it all works out pretty well. They're sold out on a lot of websites but I haven't seen them come up on ebay yet. I'll probably regret not waiting for that but I got so excited! I've waited to buy things before and by the next day I go to gawk at them, they've already sold out my size. This has happened more than once, so now I usually buy them once I've found them. If you get a chance, you should definitely swoop them up and send me pics!!

A Little about Myself...

I've come upon so many blogs out there that have drawn so much inspiration I thought, "Hey, why not start one myself?" I'm 23-born and raised in the suburbs just east of Pasadena, CA. I have a growing interest in fashion, beauty, and health. I've dabbled in modeling here and there, mostly glamour and bikini. It's hard to find a niche when everyone out there is just trying to get you naked. Not that some of the most beautiful art out there doesn't involve nudity. It just needs to be done in good taste. I've since decided to try my hand at the hair and beauty industry. I'm currently in the process of applying to Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, and plan on moving out there by the end of summer. My most recent endeavor in Pilates landed me no where. I guess my friends were right when they said I was the least physical person they know. Althought I did finish and I did certify but the motivation to actually do anything with it quickly faded. Instead, I've decided to explore something I've always been good at, something I've always loved doing-hair, makeup, all the behind-the-scenes stuff. I'll be blogging about my life, my inspirations and everything in between. I also have a slight obsession with Erin Wasson, crazy boots, and my dogs. So you'll definitely see a lot of that :D
